This Privacy Policy governs your use of Spar With AI and describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information.

Introduction and Scope
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") is entered into by and between Spar With AI ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") and you, the end user ("User," "you," or "your"). This Policy governs the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and protection of personal information obtained through your use of sparwithai.com and the Spar With AI mobile application (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this Policy. Information We Collect
The Company collects the following categories of personal and non-personal information in connection with your use of the Services:
Account Registration Data: Upon creating an account, the Company collects your email address, username, display name, and profile avatar image. This information is necessary to establish and maintain your account.
User-Generated Content: The Company collects debate topics, arguments, and AI-generated responses submitted or generated during sparring sessions. This content is processed to produce coaching feedback and is retained as part of your usage history.
Usage and Behavioral Data: The Company automatically collects data relating to your interaction with the Services, including but not limited to: rounds completed, opponents selected, performance scores, badges earned, streak data, and session timestamps.
Payment and Transaction Data: Subscription payments are processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc., a third-party payment processor. The Company does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, billing address, or other financial account details.
Device and Technical Data: When you access the Services via a mobile device, the Company may collect device identifiers, operating system version, and diagnostic data for purposes of crash reporting, debugging, and platform compatibility.
Use of Collected Information
The Company uses collected information solely for the following purposes:
Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the core functionality of the Services, including conducting sparring sessions, generating AI-powered coaching reports, and maintaining User accounts.
Personalization: To calculate and display performance scores, award achievement badges, maintain debate history, and populate leaderboards.
Payment Processing: To verify subscription status and coordinate with Stripe for billing and subscription management purposes.
Product Development and Improvement: To analyze aggregated, de-identified usage data for the purpose of improving AI opponent performance, application stability, and overall user experience.
Communications: To transmit transactional communications, including account verification, password reset notifications, and coaching report delivery. The Company does not transmit unsolicited commercial electronic mail without prior express consent.
Artificial Intelligence Processing
In connection with the provision of AI-powered debate and coaching features, User-submitted debate content is transmitted to third-party artificial intelligence providers for the purpose of generating opponent responses and performance feedback.
Scope of Disclosure: Only the minimum content necessary to generate a response is transmitted — specifically, your debate topic and submitted arguments. No personally identifiable account information, including email address or payment data, is disclosed to AI providers.
Disclaimer: AI-generated content is provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. Such content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or reflect bias inherent in underlying AI models. Nothing in the Services constitutes legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
Disclosure to Third Parties
The Company does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Disclosure to third parties is limited to the following service providers:
Supabase, Inc.: Provides database infrastructure and authentication services. User account data and debate history are stored on Supabase-managed servers.
Stripe, Inc.: Provides payment processing services for Pro tier subscriptions. All financial data is handled exclusively by Stripe pursuant to their Privacy Policy and PCI-DSS compliance obligations.
AI Model Providers (OpenAI / Anthropic / Groq): Debate session content is transmitted to one or more AI providers to generate opponent responses and coaching feedback, as described in Section 04 above.
Vercel, Inc.: Provides web hosting and content delivery infrastructure. Vercel may retain standard server access logs in accordance with their data retention policies.
Legal Basis for Processing
To the extent applicable under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or similar data protection legislation, the Company processes personal data on the following legal bases:
Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): Where you have provided express consent to the processing of your personal data, including at the time of account creation.
Performance of a Contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): Where processing is necessary to perform the Services you have contracted for, including account management and service delivery.
Legitimate Interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): Where processing is necessary for the Company's legitimate interests, including improving platform performance, ensuring security, and preventing fraud.
Data Retention
The Company retains personal data for the duration of your account's active status. Upon deletion of your account, the Company will purge personally identifiable information from its systems within thirty (30) days of the deletion request. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company may retain aggregated, de-identified data indefinitely for analytics and product improvement purposes.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
Right of Access: You may access your debate history, performance data, and profile information at any time through the Services.
Right to Rectification: You may correct or update your username, display name, and profile avatar via the Settings section of the Services.
Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by submitting a written request to support@sparwithai.com. The Company will process such requests within thirty (30) days.
Right to Data Portability: You may request an export of your debate history and coaching report data by contacting support@sparwithai.com.
Additional Regional Rights: Users residing in California (subject to the CCPA/CPRA) or in the European Economic Area (subject to the GDPR) may have additional rights. Contact us to exercise such rights.
Prohibition on Sale of Personal Data
The Company does not and will not sell, license, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen (13), and the Company does not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen (13). If the Company becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a child under thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent, such data will be deleted promptly.
Security Measures
The Company employs commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Such measures include Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption for data in transit, secure authentication protocols, and row-level database security controls. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, the Company will notify affected users in accordance with applicable data breach notification laws.
Modifications to This Policy
The Company reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. In the event of a material change, the Company will provide notice via email or a prominent in-application notification no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the effective date. Your continued use of the Services following the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
